it maintains an atmosphere of sexism and by joking about it belittes attempts to change.

I find it kinda insulting to guys.

I think this reinforces stereotypes for guys. That is, if they care about where their wife is they're somehow unmanly. Or that they're not a man if they don't get drunk and visit a strip club. Or they're not a man if don't stagger in late.

I don't want these stereotypes played up.

How good is the "better half" if the lesser half would find this permission slip amusing? For that matter, how good a relationship is the person who wrote this involved in?

Oh man, all my friends and I had our girlfriend sign those slips, then we went out and slept with cheap hookers.
