Author Topic: If you had to ask and I had to answer …

The question is simple:

If you had to ask me one thing that I had to actually answer, what would it be?

Please note that it is a hypothetical question. You don’t actually have to ask a question, and I don’t actually have to answer it, simply because I have to admit from the start that I don’t have the answer to ALL questions you might think of [Wink] . But I’d like to give my answers to the questions that I would find “original” enough.

By the way, you can ask questions to each other as well, as I might ask you some questions (I looooove questions!!) Answers are of course optional.

NOTE: this is not intended to (mindlessly) duplicate the “Ask the next person anything” thread. Here the questions are directed to someone in particular and it is in a hypothetical frame. If you want to ask anyone (i.g. the next person) anything, please feel free to use the other thread. [There you are supposed to give an answer to the last question before you ask yours.]

A.

PS: if anyone wants to ask me the question above (in bold letters), simply read the question in bold letters. That would be my answer [Smile]

Boxers or briefs?

(I've never figured out why people ask this anyway -- what the heck difference does it make)?

Well, definitely … bathing suit [Big Grin] . Meaning that I’d like to spend as much time as possible on the beach. [Razz]
[NOTE: I usually tend to answer “choice questions” with a “new option”, because I don’t like “limiting” questions.]

(as for the “side question”, I can assure you that for some guys is it a BIG … “deal” (i.e. difference) [Wink] )

Jeesh, this is what is bugging me: How can you tell when someone is addressing to you, and when it is just a “lamenting onomatopoeia” at the beginning of a sentence?

Are these questions that the person has to answer truthfully and accurately, or just honestly?

Do you think that "truthfully and accurately" is incompatible with "honestly"?

Sometimes.

If you were to ask Aristotle the question "What is the nature of the universe", his honest answer would have involved the earth at the center with the sun, moon, and stars going around it.

A truthful and accurate answer would have been much more complicated and would have involved galaxies, solar systems, etc..

In other words, is it answered just to the best of your knowledge, or does asking the question give you magic powers if insight?

I read the whole post. If they talk about something I said before, I know they are talking to me. Ususally though, 'Sheesh' and 'Geez' are used instead of 'Jeesh'

mr_porteiro_head, good point. In that case my first post does expain a bit ("I have to admit from the start that I don’t have the answer to ALL questions you might think of" part). I meant that I know I might not have the "accurate" answer.

I can allways be truthfull (and honest) and admit when I don't know something, if I ever choose to answer the question of course. [Wink]

And yes, I was thinking about a "court of law have to" kind of obligation.

My two-year-old does that sometimes, in certain moods. It drives me nuts.

Jeesh, are you sure I was talking to you? I did my best to make that post ambiguous. [Grumble]

Please don't get mad at me for "misusing" your screen name, the question that I asked you really bugged me for a while. Thanks for answering, and I assure you I'll "cease fire". [Wink]

What difference does it make? Plus, if I told you, you probably wouldn't believe it anyways, it happens often enough IRL! Seriously.

I hate to be off topic but:

Boxers or briefs?

(I've never figured out why people ask this anyway -- what the heck difference does it make)?

People who wear briefs are creepy and probably dangerous. Like people who intentionally wear speedos to the beach.

Andrew W, how do you know so much about people who wear briefs? Are you one of them? [Angst]

BTW, welcome to this thread. [Smile]

Jeesh, if I were to hand you an unpinned grenade, would you keep it as a souvenir or would you throw it away?
