I bought my oldest brother this huge book of maps called New World: Maps From the Age of Discovery.
I want a quote to write in the book to sort of tie in how perceptions of the world change and so do perceptions of other people.
My relationship with my brother has changed a lot in the past year since our dad passed away. He used to be this money driven, know it all perfectionist, who would try and tell me how to live my life. Now he's supportive, and encouraging, family seems to be number one on his list of priorities. He still jumps to point out when he thinks I should do things another way, but he does it in a more respectul way.
So this quote has to say all the things that we both know and never said, except for once, and then there were more tears than I care for on both our parts. So anyway, it has to say everything, but in a clever way so it's tied into maps or the world or something...
So please, if you can think of anything, i'd appreciate it.

"'You certainly can't always look at things from someone else's point of view. For instance, from here that looks like a bucket of water,' he said, pointing to a bucket of water, 'but from an ant's point of view it's a vast ocean, from an elephant's just a cool drink, and to a fish, of course, it's home. So, you see, the way you see things depends a great deal on where you look at them from.'"

I wonder if George Lucas read Phantom Tollbooth before he wrote that "Certain point of view" line for Obi-Wan...
