Anyway, I found this rather amusing. [Smile]

I hate to say it, I mean I really hate to say it, but the view of events in there does seem a little over the top. That is, a bit biased. (yes, I know, duh.)

While after the American revolution, for example, there were no dead tortuned bodies in Philadelphia every day, in a larger scale it took a number of years before the nation became stable, and not until the Consitution was created, really.

A few states actually came clos to war once or twice if i remember right.

The details are different, but on the larger scale, there is a similar vibe of getting jiggy with the chaos. (to quote a cartoon.)

Not that, you know, Iraq isn't worse, as it is. It just seems the author's view isn't quite accurate to me, at least in that case.

But yes, the rest of the article is quite amusing.

Why? Did the chicken cross the road?

The American Conservative, meanwhile, seems to be operating on a plane of relativistic distortion where they don't see what's happening until four years later.

That was quite funny. I think it might be funnier if it weren't so depressing.

Well, there is a Virtual Caliphate in Iraq already. Maybe if all right-wing pundits clap their hands it will turn real.
