Going for the classic look, I see.

I don't think I like the poster. I can't decide.

Too similar to the older ones for my tastes. It's a new era, this is a different Indy...

An older, creakier Indy.

I like the style. But the picture isn't doing it for me. It's too plain.

Ooooo, Harrison Ford and a flaming skull. It leaves something to be desired (to me, at least).

Edit:

However, it's only a teaser poster. So, maybe subsuquent posters will be more satisfying.

Conversely, it doesn't achieve quite the anxious-ness and excitement that most teaser trailers are designed to provoke in movie go-ers.

It looks like a Harlequin (sp?) cover, but for a horror story.

I actually love the poster. I think it's note-perfect, and hope the film's as true to that feel.

I think it's a great poster. My favorite of all the stuff they've released so far.

Thus the finer points of advertising. Nothing you do will be universally loved. And nothing you do will be universally hated. It doesn't matter so long as it makes money.

*Walks across bedroom to giant Last Crusade poster on wall and looks at it*

Its' certainly a look back to the older poster styles, and I really like it. I'm guessing they'll do another poster that actually has all or most of the actors in it, which will be interesting.

I didn't realize it was coming out so soon. May is going to be an amazing month for movies.

Yeah. May of 2008 has so many high profile tentpole releases packed back-to-back!

(To say nothing of the rest of the summer)

It may be almost as big a summer for popcorn flicks as 1989 was.

My own thought on the poster: I was only thirteen the last time I saw an Indiana Jones movie in the theaters. I'm now thirty-one. A little nostalgia lacing the teaser campaign is probably a good thing. [Wink]
