Ditto.

The Joker's one of my top two favorite villains. The other being Two-Face... They better not screw it up!

You don't seem very confident. Was Batman Begins really so dubious?

Well, other than Katie Holmes. [Wink]

No, actually, I really liked Batman Begins.

That's why I'm worried they may not have anywhere to go but down. Sometimes when studio heads get little dollar signs in their eyes and start muttering "Franchise... Franchise..." like zombies, bad things happen, especially to sequels.

If nothing else, BB managed to juggle Batman's origins and three villains and do them all reasonable credit. I hope with the former out of the way, they can do as well.

If you go to the official site now and click on the logo, you get a link to this site: I Believe in Harvey Dent.

Also starting yesterday, a new site went up (apparently run by the Joker): I Believe in Harvey Dent Too. If you enter your e-mail address there, you are sent a set of coordinates to help reveal the image underneath the written on Harvey Dent picture. Speculation is that it'll be the first shot of the Joker.

That's what I'd guess, and I did my part. [Smile]

And the e-mail text is enjoyable in true Joker style. I'm already gettin' psyched for the movie.

I have fairly high hopes.

Mainly I'm just hoping it will do well enough for them to do a remake of Mr. Freeze that actually does the man credit, rather than the hack job that was done to him by the director, writers, and Ahnold.

Parts of it are being filmed in my office building. We got an email at the beginning of last week telling us that "a major motion picture studio" was renting out a portion of our lobby and building a set for 2-3 weeks of filming. They were even dumb enough to give us the working title of the movie...

I don't understand why they're building an office set in the lobby of an office building when I know there's empty space upstairs. Half my floor is empty.

Maybe they know I'll want to kidnap Christian Bale? [Big Grin]

The disturbing, dark tone of the Joker's messages and image have me wondering how Two-Face will be handled. I'm hoping for something like Batman: TAS, where he was more insane than evil.

Woo! Rumors have it that just as Batman Begins had an early teaser attached to I, Robot, the Dark Knight teaser will be attached to Order of the Phoenix. [Cool]

Ditto. Though apparently in this movie, it will only really focus on the Joker and not on Two-Face origins.

In a world where the people in charge of such things were patient, I'd love a movie where Harvey Dent got a whole movie before becoming Two-Face.

Don't expect it to happen, though.

If this does well, are we going to see a semi-remake of Batman Returns? Penguin and all?

While I would like to eventually see Catwoman and the Penguin, I think remaking Batman Returns is not in the cards. Batman Begins wasn't a remake of Batman, and I doubt The Dark Knight will be either.

The first email read:

I always say, you never know what a man is truly made of until you peel the skin off his face one piece at a time. Here is your chance to help.

And if one hit "reply" to this email one got:

People always ask me about my charming boyish smile. Jessica used to love it. She was the loneliest girl in high school, and my first big kiss...

According to the Wikipedia site...and this could be completely wrong, obviously...it seems like Harvey Dent won't become Two-Face in this movie. We may see a hint of his schizophrenia, but apparently no super-villainy.

Thats certainly a unique take. What about green hair? Also he needs to spend 5 minutes with a girl and learn to apply lipstick.

edit: The glascow smile really is kinda creepy. Apparently he does indeed have green hair according to reports from the set.

So I was able to peek into the construction site on my lunch break today. We've got a kitchen being built on one side, beautiful wood panelling, huge commercial style stove, dark marble counters. I know the building maintenance guys told me that part of it is being made into an office set, but I didnt see enough of that end to be able to tell.

I wonder if they'd spaz out if I walked by their open "doors" with a camera tomorrow....

Javert, I suspected as much, to be honest. I may go buy a disposable for the attempt... that way if they confiscate the camera, I'm only out a few bucks.
