according to his profile, he appears to be Italian. Perhaps English not being his 1st language accounts for the oddness of his posting style.

My guess at a translation:

Attention,
I like the look of your website <smilie>
But it should link to more pages about golf courses.
You should look around for one <frustrated face>

I think it's a bot that probably failed in its attempt to link to some commercial site (for a golf course).

It's not for a golf course. It's for an online education program.

Most likely there will be a second bot that swoops in later to give the links.

If you visit the web site, they advertise a course on English as a second language.

Oh the irony.

Wow. I can't believe that bots are already that advanced. I found the website it linked to to be amazingly interesting, however, with a lot of fascinating discussions.

Golf does not mean soccer in Italy.

Futbol means soccer.

I've never heard anyone use golf when they mean soccer.

Harrumph!

Also, Steven, no one uses the verb 'gradire' any longer.

And you used it improperly anyway-- you used third person plural, when your declared subject is either the royal you, or the 2nd person plural.

"the royal you"? is there such a device? In English you'd never be able to tell, so what about other languages? I'd never thought about it, but now I'm chuckling at the concept.

I think he's saying, really, that there are some people here who need to feel ashamed at their own affrontery.

I'll be the first to man up to it. I have been downright affronting! At one point I was really only here to rib bean counter. How times change.
