No, I don't know what it means, either. Sorry. It was the license plate on a car ahead of me at a really long red light, so I had a long time to sit and think about it. It suggests "corpuscle" to me, but the p and r are transposed. My next guess would be "copper school." Police training? An education in shiny metals?
Any guesses? What do you think COPRSCL means?

I'd go with Copper School as my first impression.
Second would be Corporal something, but suffers the same problem as corpuscle with the p and r being reversed.

And on a side note--do any of you have vanity plates? I'm one of those "don't notice me, I'm blending in to the scenery" people. I don't put bumper stickers on my car. I don't want people coming up to me saying "excuse me, what does COPRSCL mean?" which is what I'd be extremely tempted to do had I seen this car in a parking lot, for example.
I don't know, maybe it's their business and they want people asking about it.

Yes, I do. I won't say what it is here, but it is the name of a principle character in a well-loved anime film by a world-renowned filmmaker and his studio. The character's sillhouette can be seen on the studio logo for every film made afterwards.
This same film is one of OSC and family's favourite children's films.

So, now that you say "cop rascal" and "Colorado preschool" I can totally see both of them.
So, PC, do people walk up to you and say "what does [insert name of a principle character in a well-loved anime film] mean?
(I'd probably be one of them because what was obviously a very revealing hint means nothing to me -- I don't know a thing about anime.)

I first read COPRSCL as "Corpsecicle"... Maybe the driver runs a cryogenics lab. but the letters aren't in quite the right order for that.

Pretty much. A few people recognize it, but most people want to know what it means. It only becomes obnoxious when I can tell the person isn't really satisfied with the answer, or shows some signs of disgust afterwards.

I love DC's license plate motto. I seriously laughed out loud with joy when I saw it when I was in DC this summer.
I have a personalized license plate, which I won't state on here, but it's the nickname everyone in my family had in high school.

Vanity plates are inexpensive in Nevada, and with the small population we have, you are likely to be able to get what you ask for. My girls all had their names on the car they drove to school. (Actually, two of them still do. The other has CHULINA, which is bad spanish) I wanted BASSOON, but it had been taken. I tried for the german translation, but they wouldn't sell that one, so I bought my wife's name. Her name is Russian, NADA. As a plate, it has often been mistaken as a nihlistic sentiment. A distinctive plate does help, as I am on the "no stop" list with the county constabulary. Vanities also give you (or the person coming at you) something to think about as you drive the long desert highways.

Mine is SVARA 1 (including a number makes it half the price of all letters), and Havah's was GVALT 1 before she totaled her car. My brother's name is Larry, and he has LAR CAR 1. And the older of my two sisters (the writer) has OPTMST 1. I gave serious thought to getting PSSMST 1 just to balance her.
My cousin Mark had RABBI when we were in high school. On his Ford Bronco. It was known as the rabbi-mobile.
