I've gotten used to it now that I've been using it for over 5 months or so.
And Microsoft makes some great add-in tools to help with the conversion. This one for Word 2007 and This one for Excel are add-ins that add a "tab" (menu option) at the top called "Get Started" and it will show you where a 2003 command is in 2007.
I'll admit there is a learning curve, but now that I've used it a bit, I'm liking it more.

Excel 2007 is good. Outlook 2007 is tolerable. Access has some nice interoperability with SharePoint. Everything else is, as the Scottish say, crap.

From what I've heard (and seen, and expirienced)...
For people who used every facet of MS Office 2003, and those people who have never used any MS Office, Office 2007 is supposed to be a massive change for the better from pretty much day 1.
For everyone in between, it's going to be a serious PITA to adapt and learn the new interface (I'm still relearning, so no final judgments yet. Though I think I'm going to wind up liking it much more than 2003).

I disagree. For people who barely touched MS Office 2003, 2007 is a change for the better. The more familiar you are with Office, the less "intuitive" 2007 feels.

I disagree. For people who barely touched MS Office 2003, 2007 is a change for the better. The more familiar you are with Office, the less "intuitive" 2007 feels.
No disagreement with the first bit, but there's a point where that peaks and the fact features that should have been there before are now in fact there shines through for higher end users. I'm thinking of the full text preview, the font styles being functional and not entirely hidden, and the ability to insert formulas / characters without some curses directed towards the programmers' parentage.
I'd consider myself to be well beyond familiar with Office (2000 and 2003), and I find 2007 to be a breath of fresh air, even if I have to occasionally force myself to forget how it worked before to use it now (more often than not, doing this is still simpler in the end).

For forms (in Excel 2007), you have to go to "Developer" on the top menu, then hit the little drop-down arrow under the "INSERT" item on the ribbon (looks like a toolbox icon)

Does it have "reveal codes"? That was the best feature of the old WordPerfect that MS Word never copied and should have.

There are no "codes" in Word. I spent untold hours trying to explain this to former WordPerfect users as a corporate trainer.
In Word, all text is treated as an object. There are document objects, which in turn contain page or section objects, which in turn contain paragraphs, which then contain words and finally characters. Each object can have a given property, like "bold" or "Arial 10pt."
WordPerfect could "reveal codes" originally because it used a "tag" logic, similar to HTML. The closest Word can come, without installing one of the third-party plug-ins that simulate tag functionality, is a feature that allows you to display all the properties active on any character.
