Overrated writer Mark Millar's over-hyped graphic novel Wanted has become a movie!

Or rather, they've made a movie called 'Wanted' and Millar is apparently thrilled that they've changed -everything- else.

Here's the trailer

The original graphic novel is not recommended. It's basically Millar filing the serial numbers off some well known super-villains in order to tell a decadent, cynical, and bizarrely preachy tale of Evil Wins. Complete with the lamest last page and line in super-hero comic history.

This...looks fairly generic, but also like it might be kind of fun.

It does look generic, but I like James McAvoy, which makes me want to see this (and also maybe a little sad that he'd pick a movie so incredibly average).

But they keep making these movies because we keep seeing them. Maybe it'll turn out to be a decent ride.

Wanted was very popular at my shop, but I never read it.

But good GRAVY I love James McAvoy. Le swoon.

I'm convinced that Millar is the worst comic book writer since Stan Lee.

"Why use subtlety when you can beat them across the face with the backhoe of my intelligence?"

Never heard of Wanted, but the trailer looks fun. Just the thing for a wet Wednesday afternoon.

I wasn't that impressed with the comic book either, but this trailer doesn't look like the movie is assured to be crap. There's at least a chance that it'll be good.
