I was at the gym this morning, minding my own business on the treadmill, when I happened to glance up, and of all the startling sights to be greeted with, I saw the bare bum of the man in front of me on the elliptical machine -- his shorts had fallen right off!! Now if that were me I would have fled in utter humiliation, never to return to that gym ever again, but he just stopped the machine and pulled them back up and kept on working out. (believe me, I was looking down at my book at that point and didn't look up for another five minutes or so, so only saw this out of the corner of my eye . . .)

And then sometime later, when I thought it was once again safe to look around the gym, I saw that telltale hiney crack indicating that the shorts were once again descending. I considered an "ahem, sir, your shorts . . ." but decided against it--I mean, once your shorts have fallen OFF and you are apparently not wearing any briefs under them surely you will be mindful and not let it happen a second time? Oh, way too optimistic a view of human nature. Once again down they went. I wasn't really looking but it was hard to miss. And for those of you with minds in the gutter, no this was not some buff young guy that I was secretly hoping would give another peek!

And you thought going to the gym was boring. Now I'll tell you, if I walk into the cardio room in the future and see the same guy w/ the same shorts on, I'll definitely have to reconsider my workout plan for the day. Now folks, if you are losing weight PLEASE buy pants that fit as you lose the weight but if you can't do that, at least do the world a favor and wear some undies!!

The advertisement currently at the bottom of the page is some sort of personal ad, for a fella names Michael, 23, New York, USA. There are pictures of him shirtless on a beach.

Combine this with the horrific narrative from Uprooted and this is perhaps the most awkward thread I have ever had the misfortune to participate in.

Kudos.

If your trying to loose weight, go for the shorts with the draw string so that you can tighten them up as you slim down.

Its getting worse. The ad at the bottom of my page is for "Fitness for Gay Guys".

I'm so glad that Firefox is blocking the ads..... the mental image generated by Uprooted's post is quite enough.

How do you get Firefox to blog the ads at the bottom of the page?

I've never worried about it much since I only see the adds when I scroll down past the quick reply window which I only do if someone mentions the ads at the bottom of the page.

rivka, could you expand on that explanation? I have AdBlock Plus, and still see the ads. It may be that my computer skills have dropped exponentially since high school, or maybe I'm missing something not so obvious.

Er, I have AdBlock Plus and I don't see the ads. *ponders*

Oh, maybe you also need to have the Adblock Filterset.G Updater installed?

rivka, on behalf of the sketchy and disturbing relationship between me and 23 year old Michael, I think you for making my life less advertisement filled and more wholesome and natural.

If, in the future, you ever need a favor, I feel indebted to you.

Thanks! (Really! The ads are gone!)
