A lot of sites I've tried to load this morning haven't loaded - I'm getting a lot of "The server at whatever.com is taking too long to respond." If it were one or two sites, fine, but a couple of dozen that loaded just fine last night?
Is there a problem with the Internet working in the US or is there another undersea cable taken out somewhere?
I haven't found anything in the news, although that could be because the news sites reporting it are offline and not on Google yet.

I was getting a lot of that today as well. I just assumed it was my office connection. I've been fine since getting home.

And again today. Sites in Sri Lanka and India load at normal speeds, but sites in North America take 10 minutes or so for fast loads, and up to 4 or 6 hours for others.
Anyone else having problems? Or is it always just me? </whine>

I thought this thread was about internet outrage. I find it intolerable that my pages load so slowly when I pay for cable modem! I'm sick and tired and I'm not going to take it anymore! ::outrage smilie::
Seriously, I hope your issues get fixed. It sux to be cut off from everything.

Could be that the sabotage which cut 4 underwater cables (2 MediterraneanSea and 2 PersianGulf) into and out of the MiddleEast is causing LOT more traffic to be routed through India, and thus creating a logjam in transfers through Indian servers.
Yep, looks like that could be the problem. The article is out-dated. A fourth cable was cut shortly after the third. And the depth at which the cables were cut ruled out accidental causes.
A lot of the traffic was being uplinked&downlinked through satellites which have a MUCH smaller bandwidth.

Yeah, ironically, that site won't load for me. Thanks.
We still have the very slow loads this morning. Hatrack isn't bad, and is better than just about any other site.

Yeah, it finally loaded, and that's from Feb 1st. I doubt that would cause problems suddenly starting yesterday morning without something else going on. We still can't find anything in the news.
