What would you get me if you knew me well enough to get me something, and even so all you knew about me was what you have learned about me here on Hatrack?
And who else do you know can put the word "me" in a sentence five times?

A Dir en grey cd. Because Dir en grey is AWESOME.
But it would have to be a copy of one with their best songs as i have no money right now. And perhaps some sort of conservative book.

I did the same thing two days ago. I got myself shoes. I'm hoping to find a cheap copy of Dance Dance Revolution to go with them.

I would get you a copy of "Origin of Species". I always try to get practical gifts that enhance the life of the receiver.

I love MagLites. The 3-foot one full of D batteries is blindingly bright and doubles as a bludgeoning weapon.

Thanks, JT. Civility would not have been expected, and any sarcastic comment would have been appreciated (thanks sylvrdragon.) Also, thanks Tom. That would be an awesome gift, no matter who gets it.
Best gift comes from Pegasus, though. He obviously has encountered me in threads other than those political/ideological in nature, and knows that there are things worth debating, and then there are things worth loving. Honorable mention goes to Synesthesia.
None of you realized you were in a competition, did you?

Nope. Those are astonishingly cool little beasts, but they aren't monotremes. Nobody gives straight up placental mammals as birthday presents anymore. It's considered terribly guache. Very 20th century.

Thanks Peg. And and towel would be useful, Jon. I don't know what I'd do with a platypus, but I'm sure I'd figure something out.
