I don't mind. Like SteveRogers said, all the more Indiana Jones for me to enjoy.
Also, my first reaction was "Eh, I've seen longer." I mean, just think about it. POTC 3 was 168 minutes, I believe. I can deal with an extra 20 minutes.

Movies are so much longer than they used to be. Granted, sometimes that's necessary to tell the story right, and for a lot of book to movie translations, it makes sense that the director would need a few extra minutes.
Still though, I watch a lot fewer movies than I used to simply because I have a hard time sitting still that long.

Oh, I know there were long movies made in the past. I just meant in general. I feel like 10-15 years ago, movies would run on average like an hour and forty. Now it seems closer to two hours.

Really, your average movie today still runs an hour and a half to an hour forty five. It's just the Big Ones that run longer. It may be true that there are more of those than there once were... but then, Indiana Jones is a good example: It's running that long because they can get away with it, because it's frickin' Indiana Jones. The longer the movie industry exists, the more movies will come out that are essentially guaranteed to be hugely successful by virtue of their name and previous film connections alone.

I just can't wait to see how much of the movie takes place in congressional committee meetings.
