Wish me luck! [Smile]

My junior recital is tomorrow evening, and I'm so excited! For those of you who don't know, I'm a voice major.

My hair is bouncy and pretty, because the girl who's doing it tomorrow and I just practiced... my dress is really pretty... and I'm just in such a happy mood I needed to post about it. [Razz]

Boy does that bring back memories. Best of luck, If your hall were close I would go. (nothing is close to here) I love junior recitals. What are you singing? Mozart? Villa Lobos?

Thanks! [Smile]

Artemisia, I'm singing a LOT, haha... some Mozart, but also some Purcell, Mahler, Poulenc, Britten, Verdi, Gordon... and I think that's it. My recital partner is singing a lot of other things too, including Copland and... some others.

Break a leg!

Is the format the same for you in terms of language requirements? Like, a set of songs in German, French, Italian and English? The English songs are usually the least recognizable for me.

Yeah, that's the case here too... and you have to have an aria, and something has to be 20th century (usually the English, which is why it may be the most unrecognizable to you).

Yeah, I was going to say that. The English piece is always some song cycle from 1934 I've never heard of.
