It was supposed to be out this week, you know. In front of Indiana Jones IV. But, with Paramount moving the date, it's up in the air just when we'll catch a glimpse of the new movie.
In my mind, the second teaser could only have gone like -this-:
Paramount logo
and
Bad Robot logo
We see the WELDERS from the previous teaser, now almost done working on the exterior of the ENTERPRISE. One of the men pulls off his mask, gazing directly forward. Extreme close-up on his careworn face. His eyes glitter.
WELDER: o/` "It's been a long road...
Getting from there to here
It's been a long time
Well, my time is finally near!
And I can feel the change in the world right now
Nothing's in my way
And they're not gonna hold me down no more
No they're not gonna hold me down!"
*Choking with emotion, all other WELDERS drop their tools and gather around the first, beaming as they join and lift their hands, singing in unison now*
ALL: o/` "Cause I've got FAITH of the HEART
I'm going where my heart will take me
I've got FAITH to BELIEVE
I can do anything
I've got STRENGTH of the SOUL
And no one's gonna bend or break me
I can reach any star

*They embrace as one, weeping without shame*
Cut to FILM LOGO
then show OLD SPOCK, reading a scroll or something in his study. Suddenly, a GENERIC YOUNG ENSIGN bursts into the room
GENERIC YOUNG ENSIGN: "Sir, SIR!"
SPOCK: *slowly looks up from scroll* "Yes?"
GYE: "They're trying to change history, sir! Using the...uhm....the...you know..."
SPOCK: *stony-faced silence*
GYE: "Ah, heck. The...rhymes with 'Maurdian of Morever'."
Just then, HARLAN ELLISON leaps out from behind Spock's couch
HARLAN: "Ah-HA!!!"
Cut to RELEASE DATE
