Basically all it says is "Printing - Error" there appears to be nothing in the documentation about this and the search terms are so vague that nothing I google helps, its an old printer, a epson stylus cx1500.

Blayne, dude, what's your operating system? Is the printer listed in your printer list? Can you access the printer properties from there? Can you print a test page from the printer properties dialog?
Is it plugged in? Does the printer itself have a diagnostic function you can use without printing from the OS?
Did you try using the troubleshooting guide here?

I assume you've restarted both the computer and the printer (turned off, turned on; entirely unplugged it) before trying again.
Is the cartridge stuck? Does the printer react in the normal way (no strange sounds etc.) when you turn it on?

Epson printers (particularly old ones) are pretty crappy. I owned one. I hated it. I remember beating it with a bat when I got rid of it. Check your ink levels. If you have a color printer and even one color is low, the printer won't print until you replace the cartridge.
