My wife and I are looking into getting a new credit card. We always pay on time, so we are not(ed.) extremely worried about the interest rate. We are just looking for whatever company would give us the best reward system.

Do you mean you are NOT worried about rates because you pay it off each month?
We use Chase for the mileage. My wife is Japanese. She goes back every year and I go back every other year. My ticket is generally free.
I think you just need to look at where you want your bonus points to go. If you like electronics, Best Buy is good. If you go out to eat a lot then another card is probably better. Look at the perks you want and get the card accordingly.

We have Chase Amazon cards. Every so often, we get a $25 gift certificate for Amazon in the mail. Next time is my turn to use it.

My wife and I use the exact same one. Its great.
I would look at what you want. Do you travel a lot? Alaska Airlines is notorious for having the best frequent flyer program out there. Hotels? My parents swear by their American Express Hilton Honors card. Just want some cash? Chase has something similar to their Amazon card that gives you a check for $25.

You can try to find the American equivalent of this
I generally use CIBC Visa since it gives a decent 1% cash return and I can download transactions into Quicken for budgeting. Theoretically, if I spent more money, I would also look at an American Express for a higher return.

I edited the topic to include the word 'not'. Thanks!
We aren't looking for anything in particular, so we will check out the American Blue and Discover cards.

One thing I'll add to this discussion: I had spectacularly good service from American Express on my Blue card when someone got a hold of the account number. There were maybe 12 fraudulent charges over 9 days, as well as 4 legitimate charges made by me. Eight of the fraud cases were resolved immediately, and the other four AE successfully contested and resolved.
Rewards are nice and all, but for the time being I'm content to stick with AE simply for their customer service.

I use citibank. It is 1% on everything and then higher percents on like gas and grocery. You can get money out once they owe you $50. My husband and I cash out at Christmas and use that as our Christmas budget (usually like $500-$600 which goes fast when we used it to fly home). I have had a few security problems, but they fix them quickly and efficiently. And the security problems were not citibanks fault- somebody stole my numbers. And another time a merchant charged me several times. And with my wedding they called me to check on the unusual charges (I have had this card a long time).

I've been using the same credit card for four years. So far, I can barely get a $5 gift card to a store that doesn't exist within 200 miles of me.
So, to sum this up, Capital One is going to be losing a customer in the near future...

I have never heard anything good about Capital One from actual users. I can't give any useful advice on the question at hand, though.

I have heard nothing but bad about Capital One from ANY source. Last I read, they don't report your spending and limit accurately to the credit agencies, so it can really mess up your credit score by making it seem like you have a great deal of debt compared to your available credit.
