My company is looking to move to a new location.

This location is a dead spot for cable and DSL communications (even if its a large community).

Satellite is double the cost.

Are there any other ideas that we could use?

Oh, we are considering Satellite, but the speed is a question. Does anyone have any details about that?

It is a long shot but you might find a place with Power line communication It could be pretty good for what you looking for.

Well, in these days with labour so cheap because of the economy, you could try setting up a courier service. Pass the packets hand-to-hand until they get to civilisation.

If you're much size at all, try to get the DSL company to extend their offerings.

Instead of satellite, you might as well look at a leased line. There might be a low-bandwidth leased-line at comparable prices for much better performance.

If a neighboring business has a leased-line, it might be possible to arrange to piggy-back on that for a nominal fee.
