OK. I have to come up with some interesting and fun trivia questions for a trivia contest.

It suddenly hit me--Spoiler Trivia.

We tell the spoiler, they have to pick the classic piece of literature that its from.

1) Dad returns from the wars and goes all crazy on the men hitting on his wife.

2) Drinking and driving may be bad, but drinking and letting some dude who you thought was a friend play with masonry is to die for.

3)They were supposed to escape slavery by going north, but the river keeps taking them farther and farther south.

4) At the end everyone who carried the thing ends up sailing off to the west.

5) The "speckled band" is a poisonous snake that step-dad uses to kill off the girls before they get married.

I need some better ones. Up to the challenge?

aka1) Two boys help their Papa and their Granny repeatedly outsmart the Union Army during the Civil War, but the South still loses.

aka2) Murder and robbery seem like a good idea in theory, but don't work out in practice. Luckily the murderer encounters an angelic harlot who rescues him from himself.

aka3) Four brothers with very different temperaments manage between them to off their sleazy dad.

aka4) Capitalist with intellectual tendencies teams up with a passionate working class foreman to lose a fortune mining lignite in Crete.

aka5) True love wins the day despite being thwarted by a fox-hunting father, various corrupt and lustful ladies, and the penniless state of our hero who fortunately ends up heir to a large estate. (No relation to the cheesy torch singer by the same name.)

aka6) A pair of destitute British sisters make a wish on the head of a gargoyle in the kitchen of their ancient castle home, and subsequently meet a pair of brothers from America. Drama ensues as the older sister, for money's sake, gets the wrong brother to fall for her, when she really loves the other one. Younger sister then falls for her sister's besotted fiance.

This is fun!

Here is one:

Even though it is completely unrealistic, and most women would (and should) smack a guy like him IRL, they end up together.

and another:

They survive, and flourish, and find all sorts of animals that never existed together on the same continent....but they don't let actual facts screw up the story. Then they are rescued.
