The thread about the Star Trek movie reminded me of this fan-made "machinima" movie that came out last year. And its sequel which came out this week
This is set in the EVE Online universe of "New Eden" and the 1st is supposedly a "day in the life" kind of movie about some down-n-out mercenaries. The 2nd is more of the same, but with a better script
They're each close to 45 minutes, so you're looking at an hour and a half of your life, but I don't think you'll be sorry and wish you could get it back. . . . .
So anyway..... while there is a little bit of "EVE Jargon" in them, I've had people who don't play EVE watch them and they like them and understand them, so don't be put off.
FWIW, I think they're both hilarious! I'd like ot know what anyone/everyone else thinks.
