Anyone else see this?

I'm of two minds about it. I mean, if you compare it to the original, it's going to fall short. It lacks the humor. It lacks Patrick McGoohan grinning like he's in on the joke.

But if I'd never seen the original, I think this would be pretty darn good.

Life's too short and full of better things to do, to justify watching C-grade material like this remake.

Pass, watch the original, gg no re

I've seen the first hour, and I liked it. It wasn't 60s trippy, but it was definitely off. I'm half expecting it to turn out similar to Identity.

I've never seen the original, just Simpsons parodies. That might help. I just have no clue what's going on, and I like it.

I'm guessing VR. So far it's the only thing that makes any sense. And even it doesn't make all that much.

Why, because of the big, white, bouncing balls?

Why not psychedelics, dissociatives, or deliriants?

The big white bouncing ball is called Rover. At least it was in the original series. Although Rover has grown quite a bit.

(My father used to watch the show when it was on originally, and seeing Rover sufficating people was what really taught me not to put plastic bags over my head.)

No, I was thinking that it's impossible to get that many people to play along. They can't be real. Stepford people, maybe?

Although what's really irking me is that it hasn't occurred to Six to ask who One is.

I didn't see the original series, nor have I even read about it. Did they have sink holes in the original?

Six asked the kids in the classroom who One was.

4-15 was definitely playing along, pretending to be blind.

Maybe Two's wife is One. Could Six be One? Maybe that's why he can't be killed, only played with and tortured.

I didn't understand the tunnel scenes. Were they real? Crazy question really, what's actually happened and what's imagined in this show? It's hard to follow.

I haven't seen part 3 yet. I assume that's what you're talking about.
