Remember the Tweet Me a Story contest from NYCMidnight.com? Entrants are given a word and must create up to 3 Twitter-friendly stories of 140 characters or less, including that word, in a limited amount of time?
I did -- my word was "better" -- and of the 25 stories chosen from all of my groups' entries, 2 of mine were selected. I am pleased. Winning here will move me on to the next round.
And now voting is open and the public may weigh in with their opinion. If you wouldn't mind (and you think my stories are worth it) go vote for mine. My finalists are:
quote:From my blanket, I watched the surf. "It doesn't get any better than this."
From his time machine, me from 2023 sighed. "No, it doesn't."
and
quote:"That's it, I have to know. You've been with me and with Mike. Which one is the better man?"
I smiled. ""The one who didn't have to ask."
You can vote for more than one but may only vote once. Thanks!

I tried not to read the names as I read the stories and voted, but it turned out I liked yours.

Last time I won the popular vote at the end, and received $100 and entry into the short story contest.
Tonight I did not win the popular vote (thanks anyway everyone!) but I was chosen as one of the 5 in my group by the judges to move to the final round tomorrow night. Whee!

Voted! I voted for yours and this one: "Better half, my eye!" muttered Hazel as she wiped Hector's blood from her sleeve. "Forty years & he tries to poison me. We die together."
Edit: Doh! I voted late. But I still liked yours!
