I am very fond of The Abyss written by Mr.Card based on J.Cameron's screenplay...will such a collaboration arise from Avatar? Though I was enthralled with all the special effects, i was not particularly impressed with the story; just following the myriad references was enough to...well. It's been a while since I lost my copy of Herbert's The Jesus Incident, Christa Galli and The Lazarus Effect -don't remember if this was the order- but this was clearly on Cameron's Avatar reading list. AS well as, of course, Mary Doria Rusells The Sparrow.
With this new technology I find there can no longer be any excuses to bring the Ender series to film. ok, very new to this, so forgive the stilted speech.

I sat through Avatar wracking my brain as to where I have seen some of this before. Then I remembered Xenocide. I was introduced to the nature having the biological network from OSC's book; but I have not seen that again since reading Xenocide. Maybe it was just me, but it seemed to take a little away from the flick.
