Recently, when I have been moving the mouse to wake up the computer from hibernation, in addition to sporadic flickering, the has been a red glare across the whole screen. At first it was gone in a glash, but now lasts for at least 10 seconds.

Today, we found the screen off. We rebooted, and after a few seconds into windows, the screen goes black. This happens several times.

Possible problems (in no order)
bad connection between base flap and screen flap.
bad screen
bad video card/mobo
bad driver

all seems to be affected by the temperature.

is this computer worth fixing, or do i need a replacement?

please let me know if you guys need any further info. all help is greatly appreciated!
