Wow. I had no idea he was that good of an actor. Gaius Baltar and Trevor Grant are such incredibly different people that I wasn't sure it was really him playing the part.
Eureka is going to totally rock this season. Callis, Wil Wheaton, Tess ('cause the witch show got cancelled).

I missed the second half of the third season, so I missed the whole Tess saga. Is Callis supposed to stick around? If they keep things the way they are after the season opener, that seems like a pretty major reboot of the series.

Exactly. I mean they've messed with time before, but they usually cleaned it up afterward, or at least, they clean up 99% of it. This is a BIG reset. From what little we saw at the end of the opener, they've changed one character from a non-factor plot point into a more contributory, living character (and I wonder if that was his intention all along), they fundamentally altered Zane and Jo, and now Tess is back?
I don't see how what they even did in the past could have possible produced THOSE results. Plus from the previews of next week, it looks like they're already planning to undo it, since the space time continuums don't jibe together.

You could start watching now, but you'll miss a lot of backstory. I'd start at the beginning.
After seeing Callis in Flashforward, I didn't think he was so great. Honestly, Gabriel's voice didn't sound all that different from Baltar's. And his mannerisms were quirky, as were Baltar's. But Grant... it's night and day.
Lyrhawn, I think you're right that it was his intent. "The day isn't over yet".
So out of the five, one is married now, one isn't dating someone she was, one is dating someone he wasn't, and one has a son who is fundamentally different than he used to be. It looks like Fargo is the only one without a major change in his life.
