Don'tcha just hate it when your cat jumps up on the counter while you're trying to prepare a meal? Admittedly they're cute as kittens, but it's bad enough that they inevitably take up most of your bed.

I just found Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories tonight. They have a wide variety of projects. You can make fractal snowflake cupcakes, bristlebots, and (my fav) a Missle Command circle skirt. The projects range from fairly simple to complex, but it looks like a fun site.

"That's no melon!"

In a glass container with nifty bubbles presumably preserving it?

Ah, okay, this was near the Homewood Campus. Hopkins is known around here for buying up blocks of sketchy neighborhoods and renovating in an attempt to make the area better. At least, that's what they tend to do around the down-downtown Hopkins, which is closer to the heart of the city sort of on the East side. Anyway...

Coral eats jellyfish? Somehow I always thought that coral could prey upon only teeny tiny critters.

And a slow-mo of an eagle owl flying in for a perch landing. More beautiful, more graceful, and far trippier than I had imagined.
