Previous estimates of the brachiosaur's weight have been as high as 80*tonnes (176,370pounds). But the 21% over the minimum-skin bone-wrap volume method reduces the dinosaur's weight to just 23tonnes (50,706pounds).
A similar ~71% weight loss would also turn the TyrannosaurusRex from the lumbering giant of fusty old paleontologists into the lean&mean fighting machine that we^kids always knew it to be. Of course that means that there ain't no way that a human would outrun one for any but the shortest of distances.

* Metric tonnes rather than American tons
^ Or as JurassicPark put it, "Silly raptor, T.Rex are for kids."

Well, on that note. Man-At-Arms (Duncan) was the only one in the castle who knew his secret so... [Wink]

Major Meteor Impact Event kicks off the Younger Dryas? More evidence found supporting the hypothesis.
While the YoungerDryasImpactHypothesis is said to have started making its rounds in 2007, there have been many such articles on the topic
(in BobKobres' LARGE website on ImpactEvents) which have been online for as long as the WorldWideWeb, ie since 1994.
