Looks good. [Smile]

I need to go back and watch the Marvel movies that I've missed, like Thor. Also, I kind of wish they were using Ed Norton Hulk instead of Mark Ruffalo Hulk. For some reason I remember him being the better one.

Also, I think the "A" symbol for the Avengers looks like the Fan 4 symbol, just with an A instead of a 4.

I don't think we've seen Mark Ruffalo as Hulk before. Are you thinking of Eric Bana?

Personally, I think Ruffalo is a terrible Banner. The actor seems used to playing dumb every-man guys, not genius world leading physicists. Feels like when Denise Richards tried to play a scientist.

I wish Norton had been able to stay on, but I guess he was too artistic of a guy for this sort of franchise.

That last line was very Joss.

Having actually paid good money to see 'Thor', there's really no chance that I won't be going to see this one.

Only one I haven't seen is Captain America. They had felt like they were getting slightly bland and wasn't sure I needed to. Anyone strongly feel I should?

Oh yeah, Eric Bana. Thanks for the correction. Geez, Ruffalo looks like an even worse Hulk than Bana was.

I guess I'll reserve judgment until after I see it.

She wasn't just a scientist; she was a nuclear physicist.

But I digress...

I have faith in Ruffalo, and after Norton's Hulk didn't have the same success as the other marvel movies the producers probably didn't want to pay the kind of money required to get Norton back.

I thought Captain America had more character (and a lot stronger plot) than THor. Thor was a little more "fun". I'd put Cap' up with Iron Man as the top two of the franchise.

Supposedly it wasn't about money. It was more to do with the fact that they didn't feel Norton could be a team player with an ensemble cast.

From what I understood Norton had a very strained relationship with the director on Hulk as well.

edit: Wouldn't be the first time either, if you know anything about American History X.

Ruffalo plays introverted characters very well, and while Norton is undoubtedly talented his meek self doubting portrayal of Bruce Banner would go unnoticed in a room with stoic Captain America loud mouth Iron Man and arrogant Thor. Ruffalo on the other hand could go with a self deprecating tortured soul Bruce Banner, which would lend the character better interaction.

I'm looking forward to the inevitable scene in which Banner insists that Stark make him angry so that he can save everybody's bacon.

I like how the cartoon handled it. Banner's consciouseness is retained, but he must remain in hulk form permanently.

At first I thought this was a crack because Norton's character betrays his team in the beginning of the film.

It looks like Captain America and Thor have a fight scene. Wonder how many hero versus hero ones there are.

I want to see a 10+ minute fight between Thor and Hulk. Perhaps that's how they recruit Hulk after finding him in rural Canada?

Hulk v Thor was always my favorite fight match-up. Thor typically starts as the favorite, but losing tends to make Hulk angry...

I'm really pleased that Joss Whedon's characteristic wit rears it's beautiful head in this trailer.

Thor Spoilers: (the movie, i'm not huge on comics)

I was very disappointed to see Loki in that trailer. For me, one of the most frustrating parts of Thor was Loki's beyond ridiculous character motivations and seemingly simple misunderstandings of straightforward situations so it could lead to more action sequences. It appeared to me, that Loki's adopted father was raising him in hope that he could be king over everyone and unify the two nations. Loki pretty much killed his dad because he interpreted the situation as his father never going to name him king because he was a self proclaimed "freak".

Somehow this misunderstanding motivates Loki to attempting to kill everyone that is close to him, and make every single evil decision possible.

If he's to be the main villain in this next film, it's fair to say that since even more bad stuff has happened to him, he'll just be even more evil.

I hope that I'm making a wrong conclusion that this movie will not have an interesting, complex, understandable villain.

Other than that, I'm still excited about seeing this film!

Did you see the direct to DVD Hulk Vs Thor? It is sometimes packaged with Hulk Vs Wolverine. Both are great, but the Thor one was amazing.

Yeah. He's toast.

Must suck to be the only cast member in a Whedon film that doesn't have a sequel already in the works. Writing's on the wall there.

You never know, whatever character Johanson plays is pretty ridiculous and pointless anyway, maybe she dies?

Scarlett prancing around in a form fitting outfit? Considering that's the only reason the Catwoman film was made... Honestly, do you really have to ask that?

Yes. Because using Catwoman as a guide to movie success is an excellent plan.

Well, I guess if the lesson you take from your guide is "Don't make Catwoman."

Yes . . . yes you are. I actually thought it was pretty good. All of the new Marvel movies have been. Top three would have to be Iron Man, Captain America, and First Class, though.

It should be a pretty slick film. I'll definitely be seeing it. [Smile] I do have to wonder if/how closely they're sticking to The Ultimates here, which reminds me that I should go reread that.
