So, I've accepted a job in Madison, WI and will be leaving Hawaii in about 3 weeks. I've been searching for a job on the mainland for several months and in a quasi-planning mode, but now that it's actually happening, I'm a bit overwhelmed and very excited.
I'm fortunate to have found a job that will pay for all of my moving expenses, so we'll be able to move our cars and most of our household goods. I had kind of expected to have to sell everything and start over, so this is a nice development for us.
I was hoping to find a job in the West, a bit closer to my family (CA, WA, ID & UT) but at least I'll be on the same land mass!

Exciting! Moving always bugs the crap out of me, but I very much enjoy the feeling of being moved in to a new place. Good luck in WI, I've heard very nice things about it.

Madison is actually quite a nice place to live, and it really is a bit of a Hatrack nexus. If you'd like, shoot me an email and I'll hook you up with some local info; we've been here for about ten years now.

Yikes and congrats. One of your posts is the original reason I joined (or tried to join) Hatrack (back when apparently new registrations weren't allowed)--so it's funny for me that you will now be mainland maui babe.
