I don't really know anything about the guy, but the fact that he has died before anyone got back to the moon (or anywhere else) in my lifetime, bothers me.

We - whether Americans, Chinese, whoever - really need to get people back out there. I'll be so disappointed if I never get to see anyone walking on another world on live TV.

I remember watching the Apollo launches and landings on TV but they are blurred together with each other and with watching the footage later.
