I know there are quite a few of you that played the Wing Commander games. I know some of you probably wish there was another Wing Commander game after Freelancer was released. Sadly after Freelancer it seemed like Chris Roberts had stopped making games.

Chris Roberts is now working on a new Space Sim game called Star Citizen that will boast a huge, open world, with new content being added in every one or two weeks. There will be an offline option, as well as online play. You can choose to play the single player, military campaign, but at any time you can choose to leave and become a merchant, pirate, smuggler, etc.

Take a look at the Kickstarter when you get a chance. For $30 you will get a digital copy of the game as well as access to the Alpha and Beta tests. There is a pretty cool video made by Chris Roberts that shows in game footage, and the game is already looking amazing.

He wants, he wants, he truly desires, he demands, he insists to make the game in his head.

That is a good thing. The game in his head is amazing.

I pray the foundation for the castle in the sky can be made of sturdy stuff indeed.

I will admit Chris Roberts seemed to channel his inner Peter Molyneux in the video. I hope the game really delivers. [Smile]

Yeah, Sam nailed it.

This could be amazing, but the game he is describing is an insanely ambitious project. Reminds me a little too much of Fable, Spore, etc.

I'll reserve judgment for now.

If roberts was anywhere in the realm of molyneaux, instead of saying "I hope he can get this to work" I would say "lol stop thinking about this"

27 days left on the Kickstarter and he has almost met goal. $438,259 out of $500,000 requested.

It's not OOTS, but it is going well!
