Since it worked out so well for RivalOfTheRose, I thought I would give it a try to.

I am trying to get a Kindle Fire for my students. They have ED (emotionally disturbed) and varied reading disabilities, one is even legally blind.

I really like the idea of the professional narration and highlighted text while the story is playing.

If anyone can give any amount, or even post the link to their Facebook page, I would be in your debt.

Why did you put an apostrophe after "donor?"

It went very well. The student even grabs it now during his breaks and is getting a lot of use out of the professional voice narration and highlighted text.

I don't understand the public school obsession with the Ipad, the Kindle Fire has been a lot more useful. I especially love the Free Time option that creates a second home screen that they are locked into with only the apps available I choose to put in there.

Now I need to raise funds for ebooks and audio books. I tend not to mind using my own money, since it is under my account, but it adds up. At least I don't have to worry about the individual books deteriorating.
