It went very well. The student even grabs it now during his breaks and is getting a lot of use out of the professional voice narration and highlighted text.
I don't understand the public school obsession with the Ipad, the Kindle Fire has been a lot more useful. I especially love the Free Time option that creates a second home screen that they are locked into with only the apps available I choose to put in there.

Now I need to raise funds for ebooks and audio books. I tend not to mind using my own money, since it is under my account, but it adds up. At least I don't have to worry about the individual books deteriorating.
