Sad but true--Non-April fools story.

I have two foam words I use in my strolling magic where I go from table to table doing tricks. One says "Something." One says "Nothing".

I worked with Jeff today, and one of the foam word fell out of the box. When it was time to leave I realized it was missing and started looking around.

Jeff asked, "Did you lose something?"

"No" I said. "I lost nothing."

"Then what are you looking for?"

I replied, "Nothing".

"Well, if you lost nothing than lets go."

"I can't leave until I find it."

"Find what?" he asked.

"Nothing."

"Dan, if you lost something then I'll help you find it."

"But if I lost nothing you won't help me find it?"

"How can I help you find nothing."

"Could you look under that table? Nothing might be there."

"There is nothing under that table."

"Great. Give it to me...oh, you can't."

"Why not? I give you nothing all the time."

"You don't have nothing. Nothing is over by the chair. And if nothing is over by the chair, then nothing can not be under the table."

"I'm confused" said Jeff. "What are we talking about?"

"Nothing" I said, as I picked up "nothing" and headed home.
