If Tara Reid is in it, it must be good.

I am not just noticing, this just makes the network's utter failure complete for me now.

I'm just glad they changed their name from SciFi to SyFy. I hate to have one of my favorite genres associated to that drivel. But I am pleased as punch to see Tara Reid rise to the appropriate level.

That. Looks. So. Awesome!

Seriously, they set the bar to high. Not even Shartopus can compete, tho its' trailer is totally worth watching.

I LOVE these movies. Thank goodness someone is still making them.

SyFy knows exactly what they are doing. They know these are terrible, HORRIBLE ideas and that it's a genre. They know these are C movies, like the creature from the black lagoon or something, and that's the point. It's camp, and unapologetic, awful, over the top, ridiculous camp that takes itself very seriously.

And I love it.

Wait, were you all able to watch the trailer? It's unavailable for me.

What's the cut-off between a C and a D movie?

Budget.

Quality of the CGI and actors.

That 10.1 earthquake movie of theirs was a B movie. They actually got a few named actors. That Asteroid disaster movie was a B movie as well, same reasons.

Anything involving prehistoric sized creatures is probably a C movie, because the CGI is actually decent for a lot of them. If it looks like Land of the Lost, it's a D movie. If it looks like a middle of the road episode of Stargate, it's a C.

It looks fabulous! I have never understood people who hate campy B and C movies. I love them and I love SyFy channel for resurrecting the genre.

I have been known to go on a Syfy Original Movie Marathon for an entire weekend. I want to develop a drinking game for watching. Maybe some of you "haters" can help. Turn your hate into something positive.

Loved one ripped apart by creature, no emotion shown by survivor: Drink

Blood from wound remains on character through three scenes: Drink

Teen party on a beach: Drink

That guy who played the heli piot in "Lost" playing a sheriff: Drink

Body parts floating in body of water: Drink

Body shown bitten in half: Drink

Spouting of blood Monty Python's Holy Grail dying knight style: Drink

Lol, anyone ever heard of the teen TV show Incredible Crew? They make fun of a lot of things and do other incredibly silly things. This totally reminds me of an episode my son watched a couple months ago where they were combining the natural disasters of tornado, volcano, earthquake, blizzard, avalanche, fire, hurricane, and bee attack all into one, and they ended up with something called:

Torcanoquake Blizvalanche Fireicanebees

You left volcano off your list.

Set it in space with more dakka and you have an all time classic [Big Grin]
