When a bunch of people go to some effort at your request to provide some input on something, that would seem to be an even worse kind of thread to delete without warning. Was it an accident? Is the forum database going autocannibalist?

How often does the server do backups? It should be relatively simple for BlackBlade to restore it, right? (Assuming he feels so inclined )

Seriously, though, I've never administrated a webserver nor have I ever worked with a 15 year out of date forum index, or have any idea how UBB does indexing. I can't imagine it's very pretty at this point.
