What do you utter in a moment of unexpected luck/ help by higher power?

And does your expression mirror your religious belief?

"Thank God" is an expression I'd use when I've had a narrow escape, not really for unexpected luck. I'm an atheist/agnostic.

What's the quote from?

I'm much more likely to say "Thank Goodness". I try pretty hard not to use God frivolously, but at times I slip into doing so.

I'm not sure about positively, but negatively, I say "God...bless America!" a lot a lot...which used to be "God Damn It" before I had kids.

If I'm writing I tend to say something like "by the Gods who abandoned us"...

I guess what I really say the most is "I don't believe in luck, luck favors the well prepared." which is a rephrase of Pasteur.

But what do I ejaculate upon good news? "Rocket!"
