Look at these on Amazon!

Pastwatch: The Flood
by Orson Scott Card (Paperback - February 2004)
Other Editions: Hardcover

War Of The Worlds : With An Introduction By Orson Scott Card
by H. G. Wells (Author) (Paperback )

Sweet. I havn't heard anything about the new Pastwatch coming out. That was one of my favorite books.

For good reason.

That Pastwatch entry is in error.

War of the World is true however.

I was gonna say "Wow, it IS February 2004! Why don't OSC and the mods of his website know about this new book?!" [Big Grin]

I'm looking forward to that one though. It's bound to be good. The two that I'm looking forward to MORE, however, are Rasputin and Shadow of the Giant. *rubs hands together with glee*

Actually, of those three, I reckon I'm most looking forward to Pastwatch.

A couple years ago I saw the Pastwatch: Flood entry on a borders computer. (They order their books through amazon.)

My evil side took over and I decided to order the book from them, knowing full well it hadn't been written yet. After a couple weeks of stopping in to see if the book was there yet, I finally said, "I'm usually up to date with OSC books, and I didn't think this book had even been written yet." At which point I canceled my order. It was just fun to see them confused as to why they couldn't get the book.

Yes, I know. It was evil.

So sue me. [Wink]

I still need to read Pastwatch: Redemption of Christopher Columbus.

It is excellent, and perhaps one that I would look forward to seeing in a film more than EG.

I couldn't help but think of Halo when I saw the words 'The Flood'. [Big Grin]

Oooh...

As you might be able to tell from my logname, my favorite OSC is *Pastwatch: Redemption".

I will be first in line for the Flood volume.

*dances*

I'm stilll waiting for "Shadow of a Giant". I can't believe its even in the making.... It seems like a wonderful dream to me. I just love Bean, so, so much.
Is it wierd that I have a tiny crush on him? [Blushing]

He's finishing the third "Women of Genesis" book due in the spring. I don't know what is up next after that. It may depend on how involved he is in the production of the EG movie. Now that's weird, I usually italicize books and quote mark movies. I wasn't sure which to use, so I shifted to acronym jargon.

SPOILER!!!
Is it weird if I was mad at Petra because she got to marry Bean?

Especially because the Bean of the Shadow books is a completely unsympathetic jerk of a character.

yes, but he is brilliant and therefore HOT! I wanted to BE Petra, so I could marrie him. I pretend that I am her when I'm reading it, because I love her, AND Bean! [Blushing]

Yeah, he's a jerk, but not unsympathetic to me. I relate to him a lot more than I ever did to any of the three Enders.

I have a hard time accepting Bean and Petra as a couple for a few reasons. First of all, they've both been children in my mind for so long, I can't imagine them being old enough to be dating. Another thing is that I see so much more personality in Petra than in Bean. It's obvious that Bean is brilliant, but that's almost the only aspect to his personality. He analyzes everything so carefully, there's no room for emotion or spontanaiety. Petra has more going for her than just her brains.
