hey
Firstly I want to excuse everyone for my bad english. English isn't my mother language. I read "Kiriyanga" by Mike Resnick. On the end of it was writen that general idea of utopia on asteroid somewere eround earth came from OSC. He asked few writers to write short story about some cociety trying to create their paradise in outer space. Have anybody heard anything about that project? Were I can get some more info for example...

I've never heard of such a beast.

Welcome to Hatrack, beshop! I'm not familiar with the project you're referring to either, unfortunately.

Sweetie, if you paid attention, at the very end, it says the book has never been published.

Thanks Kama. You must be right. But I still hope that this project has some echoes on net. I'm still thinking what ideas of eutopia could have other writers...

It was an anthology Card was going to edit, but as had been stated, the book was never published. I know one other writer who started a story for the anthology, but she didn't finish it so I am not sure how far the project went before it died.

I am not sure why the book was never published, but it is not uncommon for that kind of a thing to happen. Publishing companies often fail and take a few projects with them when they do.

Didn't I hear somewhere once that Card had proposed an anthology where all the stories had to involve animals, a zepplin, and characters ending up in some stage of undress?

Or do I just have weird dreams?

I'm going to vote for option 2.

Nobody respects me any more after this thread.

I'm going to go to the Q & A next Thursday and be vindicated.
