This will consist of 2 things. 1.In the begging of Shadow of the Giant in the doctors mail to Bean, it said that it was too bad that Bean didn't grow up with biology and that stuff. If he did he could find the cure because he's so smart too bad he grew up with miliatry. So I'm thinking what about the kids. Why wouldn't Bean get the kids to grow up with that education so they could find a cure for themselves... 2. My seoncd thing is about the new Ender novel with the tentetive name "Ender in Exile". Will The Hive Queen be alreday well known and felt. Like will Ender be Ender the xenoicide, it seems so from the title but that's a little quick. Or would he be in trnsition?

1) Assuming bean wasn't an irresponsible parent and didn't just ditch his kids on a planet to fend for themselves, while he travels in a space ship, they would only be on the ship for about 6 months.
However, if Bean just gave up hope all together on any possible cure, it is possible that he AND the tykes landed on a planet, and he is either dead, or a giant brain in a tube, while the kids are in fact multiplying and searching for a cure, or more possibly, not.
2) My guess is that this is the novel where "Ender the Xenocide" really comes out in force, so yes, I believe The Hive Queen will have its affect by now.

Well the thing about the 1dt answer.Read page 106 in SOTG. If Bean stick s to his plans which he ussually does he might do as he says ther. Whoich he wouldn't leave the ship. him and his kids.

towards the end of sotg bean mentioned the ship for him and his kids having a library, enouhg to last for the weeks they'd be on the ship. Maybe there are biology books on there, so bean and the kids could find the cure, on the theory that their brains keep growing. if they learned enough biology that is. Interesting...

I'm wondering if Bean will actually be able to get off of the ship. His body finally gets some relief in the less harsh gravity in space, so maybe the shock of another planet's gravity would be too much. I still don't think Bean would give up and die without finding some way to help his kids or at least put them on the right track to solve their "disease."

In reply to the question about the Hive queen, the book was already written, so Ender has interacted with "her" much so he feels her thoughts and others obviously have sympathy for the "dead" aliens because of his book. I don't think "speakerism" is totally prominent as evidence in "Investment Counselor" but its growing.

There are probably several places I could post this, but rather than waste a new thread on something that's probably already been discussed, I'll just put it here, since it seems to fit:
In Ender's Shadow, Sister Carlotta wonders if Bean could have suffered mental degradation (that's a word I think) from lack of food, and still be this brilliant. Since Bean's children would be in no danger of this, couldn't they end up even smarter than him?

If they don't a find a solution first, Ela should be able to engineer a virus similar to the one they used to fix the Gospoken on Path. Their genetic mutation is very similar to Bean's in that a switch was flipped and if it can be flipped back all at once, survival should be possible, although I suspect that intelligence will then be limited because no further growth can happen.

The kids are smarter.
What if, as Bean is dying, he slows down the ship, to give them a chance to grow up, still detached from the rest of the human race, but able to progress so that when they return, they have learned enough to (key word here:) survive?
Nothing definitive here. Just random thoughts on what happens in that ship.
As to Ender in Exile, I think this is the book where somebody deliberately uses the book The Hive Queen as a tool to attack Ender's reputation. Rather the way that Columbus has been so savagely attacked in this PC era, going from hero to villain in a generation.

How it would develop would depend a lot on the motivation for the attack - just PC stuff or some more specific reason (not that I can think of one).

Yeah so they could easily when not easil;y they have to be educated good by Bean but Bean would do that easyilsy.But they could come up witha cure to survive just learn a lot of biologycure stuff. They also are very motivated it's life or death so they can survive and then maybe they could get off the ship and live happy lives and somehow connect with shadows in flight with cotm
