friday afternoons-sunday anyone interested in a game? If preferable we should all try to arrange a Teamspeak channel to chat on.

And do you sell drugs to school children? Or pimp outside a viagra factory? Don't you realize that these games are addictive? And here you are promoting their further use. Shame! Shame!

That's strange talk to be coming from the man who owns Hatrack.

*confused until gets the joke and laughs*

I'm certain that everyone here at Hatrack is responcible person who understands the addictiveness and will play with that in mind. I suggest getting Team Speak 2 for those interested in playing since it allows for chatting.

in Civ3 I tend to be Russia or China sometimes germany. I tend to expand like made to ensure alot of breathing room and sine I'm China build the great wall to get my golden age. In ym recent game I changed my tax focus to be tech oriented, I figured that if I could outtech my friends I'll have the lead he problem with this is that eventually after expanding and somewhat securing my hinterland I'm beginning to lose money as my cities get more developped and with my reasonably large army of workers + garrisons all grinding away at my finances. I'm forced to sell tech to Peter (whoes in a very exhausting war with the germans) and Dan (also at with with the Germans) and its pretty much a stale mate between them. I'm just going to kick back, relax, build up my economy and my culture and wait for railway+factories+tanks. And then we'll see whoes the best Civ player!

Though its going to be tough if they end up having the resources I need, then the war will have to be quick if I'm going to win it.

I would join in, but Mr. Card's right, in my case anyway. I've had to stop playing games like Civ 2, Black and White (I so want to play this game again!) and FFXI (...) because I got waaaay worked up in them. Must stick to... single... player games... sigh. Random thought: Can't wait to try Jade Empire.

I only get to play MAYBE an hour a night now. I used to be severly addicted to CivIII but now I have a 6 month old who's teething so I am more addicted to sleep. I love her dearly but I do miss those late nights calculating how much sleep I absolutely needed to go to work the next day so I could play until I take just ONE MORE CITY! [Big Grin]

Anyone know when a new Civ game is coming out?

A year give or take or so I've heard. (Ironic how my screen name is Sid Meier), an hour neh? is that weekdays? On weekends are you more availiable? While I don't doubt the ability to play for an hour of good fun but only an hour always seems such a short time to me.
