Just wanted to say that Mr. Card came across as genuinly excited about the game Advent Rising, which gives me a good deal of hope that this will be a game worth playing. In a field where eye candy is paramont, having a game that looks as good as it does so far coupled with the always worthwile and challenging writing of Mr. Card is something to look forward to! Congradulations on the progress with Ender's Game movie and the Ultimate Iron Man comic book. How is it you can find time for anything else?

Thanks!

Gamespy- filthy evil people they are, said

quote:
"The dialogue is especially lacking and contrived, considering the talent behind it. Worst of all, characterizations are thin and unsatisfying, and ultimately not believable."
And later on:

quote:
"Voice acting is also only so-so, though it's probably hurt by lame dialogue more than weak acting. In short, yet another aspect of Advent Rising turned out mediocre."

As I mentioned in the other thread, Card has spent decades using the phrase "The characterizations are a little thin ..." as an example of what to expect from a critic who doesn't know his arse form a hole in the ground [Smile]

Funny that they would use that EXACT comment.

Since most people who mention characterization have no idea what THEY mean by it, let alone how characters are actually produced in the writing process, I do indeed take such comments as a confession of silliness ...

Unless I say them, because I actually know <grin>.
