Don't buy cheap vodka--spend a few extra bucks.
Blue Skyy is ok, and reasonably priced. It's well-filtered and so less likely to give monster hangovers.
Absolut is good but over-priced.
My favorite for taste is http://www.threeolives.com/ --it has a great tang I can't describe. Not sure if it's available in Canada.

Oh, and drink responsibly, don't drive, yadda yadda. [Party]
