i loved all of the books in the Ender series and the Shadow series, i got so attached to the Characters in these 2 series that i am now wondering what now? What other series by OSC would you all reccomend? thanks for the advice Posted by Joshua Newberry (Member # 7864) on :
Alvin Maker, or perhaps the Maps in a Mirror short fiction collection, depending on whether you want a diverse range of work or six novels (a lot to take on, I know, but it's the summer). I just finished reading Speaker for the Dead again last night, staying up until the sun peaked over the horizon to do so, but cannot read Xenocide as my girlfriend is in the middle of it--and not going quickly enough through it to suit me. I am personally going to probably read Hart's Hope next, and perhaps Folk of the Fringe after that. Good luck choosing!

I was particularly fond of The Worthing Saga, Or Hotsleep and Capitol, they tell about the same story. They have the same kind of feel as the EG sequals.
I also liked both the Alvin Maker and Homecoming Series. Yeh, they are a lot, but they're worth it.
Quick question, and i feel kinda weird admitting this, but did the end of SotG make anyone else cry? especially the chapter called 'Letters'.

Thank you all, i think i'll start with the Alvin Maker series. OSC is the reason that i started reading again, all thru Highschool, i read probally 3-4 books that wernt required for class, just for fun. I've never been a big reader UNTIL i read Ender's game. I read all of the Ender's series and the Shadow Series in about 2 months which is REALLY fast for me. People always joke around with me at work that i've turned into a Book worm, since all that i used to read were Camaro and Mustang Performance magazines Now all that i read are books, thanks again Mr. Card!!!

I'd reccommend Homebody and Treasure Box, even though it seems no one but me enjoys the latter. They're both ghost type stories, if you like that. Those and Wyrms, but that might have bneen mentioned.

Treasure Box was pretty good. As was Homebody. Fun, scarry and interesting. But not deep.
Hart's Hope, Wyrms, Treason all would be great. Or the Alvin Maker series (though it's not done yet.)
