Scott Nance wrote a rather fanboyish article and tried to discredit OSC. I think a rebuttle is needed [Wink]

Syfy portal

By the way, I came across this while doing a combined search for OSC and Asimov. I just read the first Foundation book and knew OSC was a fan of it. And I wanted to see if I could find a review of it by OSC. Instead, I found this junk.

Not to mention I hate Star Trek.

Why would a rebuttal be needed? Replying to a rant about a rant about a TV show is, like, at least four steps removed from real life.

I know that it is somewhat tit-for-tat to argue something as nontrivial as Star Trek, but I thought it would be somewhat funny for the guy to get a direct reply from OSC himself. I mean, OSC must have reasons why Star Trek is not good sci-fi, and I would like to hear them.

If he already explained himself in the Washington Post, then I guess a rebuttle is not necessary and I will be in the dark as far as OSC's views on the subject are concerned.
