Advent Rising thrusts players into an intergalactic adventure punctuated with a gripping storyline created in collaboration with award-winning sci-fi novelist, Orson Scott Card.
I also read the Mormon Tabernacle choir provided the soundtrack. ?

Has anyone played this? I thought OSC should be involved with video game writing but didn't know he already had.

He's actually been involved in video game writing since before you were born. [Smile]

That's probably true Tom.

I bought Advent Rising and had mixed, but mostly positive feelings. The soundtrack and storyline are awesome but some of the graphics feel a little too Halo inspired and there were some glitches on the Xbox version. I would recommend picking it up though, it is a fun action game with a story that, in my opinion, is far deeper than the game allows...

I'm going to augment this by suggesting that you pick up the PC version in preference to the X-Box version. It looks better, it plays better, and has fewer annoyances.

I'm a constant player of the game but I have a question. Is it possible that the Advent Rising is an extension of the Ender Trilogy? The game does reffer to "buggers" and includes the "Ansible" which is unique to the ender series.

Neither "buggers" nor the "ansible" are unique to nor originally from the Ender series.
