I'm not sure if a lot of this is intelligible at the moment. I'm tired and off a high of writing 5 pages in 10 mins of pure thought. A weird little intro I wrote on the rant goes like this:

Love – the question of why boils down to existence within love.
Man always will ask "why" to excel themselves intellectually above their biology and society. But before the "why", a person will always laugh, cry, hate, and love. Emotions and experience become the why – both question and answer.

I then go on for a while using animals and references to support parts of this - the theory was way better spoken then written as it is beginning to leave my mind slowly.

However OSC steps into part of it with the "To know your enemy fully you must love them." (can't recall word for word)

I will look on this in a few days and maybe explain better and try to see what I was thinking. After re-reading the rant I wrote tonight at midnight, which was sparked by a conversation with a old friend.

I doubt anyone has anything to really comment on it but I will explain better later.

i do all my best thinking late at night. Or at least I think I do - I can never remember it the next day.

I always think my ideas are brilliant at night. But when I get out of bed to write something down, it instantly loses its luster. Maybe I shouldn't ever get out of bed?

Oh, and if you don't think that Hatrackers can find something to comment on any thread, you need to stick around a little while. I'd say in another three or four posts we'll be discussing the socio-economic impact of the mass production of Mac & Cheese on South American countries.

Importation of foreign sources of Mac & Cheese is terrible for the US economy and her work force. We need to raise tarrifs immediately, and subsidize domestic production.

You can't pin all this on C-Rex. He's an innocent soul sucked into the dastardly advertisement circles.

I make sure and post all my most "bitingly witty" stuff on hatrack before I grow a sense of proportion and think better of the whole thing. That way I can come back the next day and defend opinions I didn't know I even had! Sometimes I agree more with my opponents than with my own idea, but its interesting stuff.

Then why did he attack softwood lumber tarriffs?

He is a Communist.

Duh.

It's interesting that we are dependent for intelligence about our enemies on the people who can speak their languages.

Wait, why is Communism such a bad thing? I mean... wait a second. I have some gentlemen in black suits at my door... let me see what they want...

When they came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.

When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.

When they came for the Jews,
I did not speak out;
I was not a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.

"Re-gaining Unconsciousness" but punk band NOFX also appears to have been influenced by the poem:

First they put away the dealers,
keep our kids safe and off the street.
Then they put away the prostitutes,
keep married men cloistered at home.
Then they shooed away the bums,
then they beat and bashed the queers,
turned away asylum-seekers,
fed us suspicions and fears.
We didn't raise our voice,
we didn't make a fuss.
It's funny there was no one left to notice
when they came for us.

Orincoro, I can empathize. Sometimes I have to wonder what I was thinking
