You are totally right on the money with this show.
It's terrible!
Why do people make 2000 dollars to make annoying shows when I don't have a job? [Grumble]

although I agree that this show is not very good, I find myself watching it nearly every week... I think it is because it has a raw feel to it that is simmilar to arrested development (a show which I love). I find myself watching the show, yet wishing it was better... its one of those shows that I wish really was good, because it could be very, very funny, but its just ok. maybe it will get better.

I just find myself... astonished by its badness. I fail to see why I watch so many shows I hate. Perhaps it's what they say about the culture... or it's just that I think they are so... bad.

Like watching a train wreck... you know its going to be bad but your morbid sence of curiosity keeps your gaze.

Watching television as a train wreck experience is fun for some people - i have friends who watch The Apprentice that way. And Survivor: Look what people will do for money!

But I identify with the performers too much, especially the repulsive, untalented, loser ones, since I see so much of myself in them. when I watched the British "the Office" it was one long cringe, because I kept seeing myself in the blowhard boss. Too much empathy makes bad shows (or good shows with repulsive characters) unwatchable. Or maybe "empathy" isn't the right term. Maybe it's projection plus vanity ...

I occasionally watch Bones this way. I just cannot believe that show is still on. Such horrible acting.

I absolutely love the American "The Office" by the way.

I like Bones...

I am the same way when it comes to embarassment episodes. Like in Frasier and so many other shows. I just hate watching people get taken down a notched and humiliated... Makes me feel terrible.

I don't feel bad during embarrassing scenes so much as I feel embarrassed for the character. I feel the urge to change the channel so I won't feel embarrassed anymore.
