There is a story in Children of the Mind about a stone that had a diamond inside of it, or something like that, where the Emperor didn't believe the one who found it, and cut off his limbs.

Anybody remember the name of it? I need to find the story.

Thanks in advance.

Google is your friend.

Be careful. Han Fei-Tzu's writings are full of Asian stereotypes.

Having a chinese wife in hand, Mr. Card, I caution you on those Asian stereotypes. [Wink]

Actually, in comparison to a lot of the garbage that comes out which makes use of asian culture, I didn't think you were bad at all.. though the audiobook version might need a little tweaking.. ie, have someone who is literally asian do the reading rather then a white woman faking it [Wink]

I feel like a white woman faking it sometimes.

I mean, just by having someting translated into English, you are viewing them from the outside.

So what's he supposed to do, write in mandarin? That would be heck on the printers!

There is a certain counfounding of issues between this and the "disturbing" thread.
