I heard rumors about there being an Ender's Game movie and i was wondering if that was true. Has anyone heard about a movie coming out? [Dont Know]

Or did I get my hopes up for nothing?

happysmiley probably DID just get out from under a rock... This is their first post on Hatrack. : ) I'm not that great with searching on this site (read: i've never tried) but if you bop around a bit you'll see a few threads on the movie.

Yes, theres an Ender's game movie coming out, scheduled for 2008. Google it. Theres TONS of stuff on it.

Yeah, I was that way too, it is very exciting but sucks ahving to wait so long to see it. But will definitely be there opening night if I can be no matter what kind of reviews it gets.

So what happened to that new script OSC sent a while back? I thought something should have been decided by the end of summer.

After waiting this long it almost feels like something went wrong and they're taking their time to try and fix it, likee heavy script edits or something.
Of course on the other hand, one very promising thing is that Wolfgang Peterson has said that he's going to start a project before the end of the year, he said he wasn't sure what it would be because of how development goes and such but he said he would definitly start one before the end of the year and imdb lists only Ender's Game as active projects for him. Here's hopin.
Oh and forget opening night, it's the midnight screening for me.
